Join Elite Traders Lounge as a verified babysitter.

This is the first of two steps and takes about ten minutes. Here you tell us about your experience, because that is what places you in a rate band, and the rate band is what sets your earnings per hour.

Once you have confirmed your email address and signed in, your dashboard walks you through the second step: your Smile ID identity check and your supporting documents.

Every booking pays at or above the National Minimum Wage of R30.23 an hour. That floor is never negotiated down, by us or by a family.

Below you will fill in five short sections: your details, the profile families see, your experience and rate band, your languages, and how you get paid. You can use a phone — no documents are needed yet.

Your details
This information is used to contact you about your application and bookings. You'll provide your ID/passport and identity verification documents in step 2, after you verify your email.
This tells families roughly where you're based so we can match you with bookings within a practical, local travel distance (our 20km service-area policy) — we never show your exact street address to families.
Public profile (shown to families)
Once you're verified, families browsing babysitters on our website see this information alongside your photo, so they can choose who best fits their household. Your profile photo is simply the selfie you capture below for identity verification — no separate upload needed.
Experience & rate band
Choose the level that matches your experience — this determines your Appendix C rate band. The rate shown is 100% yours: nothing is deducted, and you pay no registration fee. Our team confirms your final level during verification.
Languages
Language ability is important to families — please tell us clearly what you can offer.

How you get paid
Payments are processed securely through Paystack. Your full rate is paid out to your own South African bank account — so please make sure the bank details below are correct and in your own name, as they are what we pay into. A South African bank account in your own name is all you need in order to be paid. Payouts are released once the booking is complete and both you and the Family have confirmed it on the platform, after a short confirmation window, and are not released while a dispute is open on that booking.
Please double-check these details before submitting. Your bank account must belong to you, and the account holder name must match the name on your ID — incorrect or mismatched banking details can delay or prevent your future payouts, and Elite Traders Lounge is not responsible for funds sent to an incorrect account you provided.
