Join Elite Traders Lounge as a verified au pair.

This is one single application, so it helps to gather your documents before you begin — you upload them all here rather than in stages.

Before you appear to families as a bookable candidate, our team verifies your identity through Smile ID, along with your address, your driver's licence, your qualifications and your employment history. We also check your police clearance and your standing on both the Child Protection Register and the National Register for Sex Offenders, and you will have a 15-minute video interview with us. We may repeat any of these checks later, at our discretion.

Listing on the platform is free. Elite Traders Lounge charges you nothing to register. You do pay for your own verification documents, and the routes and current costs are set out further down this page — there is a free government option as well as a faster paid one.

Elite Traders Lounge does not employ you, pay you, or hold money on your behalf. We do not fund your documents either. Once you are placed, your monthly stipend is paid to you directly by the family, outside the platform. Families pay us a once-off placement fee; you pay us nothing.

Your ongoing monthly stipend, once placed, is paid directly to you by the family — off-platform. Elite Traders Lounge does not charge you any registration fee; families pay a once-off placement fee.

Verification documents
All documents are reviewed by our team and never shown publicly. Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP or PDF, up to 6MB each.

You submit and pay for your own verification documents. Elite Traders Lounge does not fund, pay for, employ, or hold money on behalf of au pair applicants — each document below is obtained and paid for directly by you, from the government or a private provider. Only your driver's licence (below, in the Experience section) is optional; every document in this section is required.

Free, self-service (government): download Form 7 / J738 (NRSO application) and Form 30 (Child Protection Register enquiry). Submit Form 7 with a free police-station fingerprint report to your nearest Department of Justice office; email Form 30 with a certified ID copy to CPRenquiries@dsd.gov.za.

Paid, faster (our preferred affordable provider): Checknet (Pty) Ltd, Pretoria, is our preferred affordable verification company. Use our Checknet discounted-rate page — the discount is already applied through that link. You order and pay Checknet directly; Elite Traders Lounge never handles this money and receives no referral fee or commission.

• NRSO certificate and Child Protection Register certificate — fully online: order through the discounted-rate page, then upload or courier your certified documents. No branch visit needed.

• 48-hour AFIS police clearance — needs a quick in-person fingerprint scan by an accredited agent near you. Start from the same discounted-rate page; the scan takes about 3 minutes and your certificate is emailed within 48 hours.
