Delete your account and personal data.

How to request deletion

Send an email to inquiries@etlbabysitters.co.za from the email address registered on your account, with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include:

• Your account type (family, babysitter, or hotel/Airbnb partner)
• The email address and full name used to register

You can also call +27 65 081 7294 to request deletion verbally; we will confirm your identity before processing.

What we delete

Once we verify your request, we permanently delete the following from our systems within 30 days:

• Your name, contact details, and login credentials
• Uploaded ID documents, selfies, and liveness/verification images
• Banking details (for babysitters) and business registration details (for hotel/Airbnb partners)
• Any admin notes tied to your profile

What we retain, and why

Some records cannot be deleted immediately because South African law requires us to keep them, or because deleting them would break records another party still relies on:

• Booking and payment records — kept for accounting, tax, and Paystack settlement reconciliation purposes, as required under South African financial recordkeeping regulations. These records are retained even after your profile is deleted; they are linked to your booking reference, not your login.
• Records tied to an active or disputed booking — if you have an upcoming, in-progress, or disputed booking, we will complete or resolve it before deleting your account, so the other party (family or babysitter) is not left without recourse.

Processing time

We aim to complete every deletion request within 30 days of verifying your identity. You will receive an email confirmation once your account and personal data have been removed.
